Tsuruga Castle City Park — Attraction in Aizuwakamatsu

I visited there, and it was very well maintained and I was able to enjoy the history of Tsuruga Castle. There is a lush garden, and just walking slowly around the castle was very relaxing. I took my son, who is in the first grade of elementary school, and he was very interested. I told my 6th graders that I would be coming here again on a school trip, and voila! That's what I said (lol)....

This park maintained as the remains of the Tsurugajo jo is a very nice place to take a stroll and rest. This park has the old tea serving rooms also maintained similar to the old age versions. The waking way has Sakura trees on the sides which makes it an amazing place to visit during Sakura blooming season. The tea house entry are Castle entry is controlled by pass...

I love Tsurugajo. It's got so much unique history, especially in regards to the Boshin War (Japanese Civil War). It's a really fun place to go, and the museum inside the castle is fantastic too. If you go, contact the local international association for a free English tour. They'll arrange for someone to meet you at the castle...
