Uchiharano Ceramic Art Museum — Attraction in Aki

I came here with my family and friends, and we all had a very nice, relaxing time painting pre-made pottery pieces. There was a small shop attached to the pottery workshop area which displayed many interesting and beautiful works of ceramic, glass, and clay. The inside and outside of the main building has such a natural charm to it that we all felt like we could take it easy and work at our own pace. Making a piece from scratch necessitates a reservation beforehand, so we chose to only paint a couple of pieces the day of, but the selection was good and not overwhelming. Similarly with the paint selection, there are only two colors available to use, but we felt like they both had a special, traditional feel to them. For international visitors, some pamphlets and instructions might be offered in other languages here, but I highly recommend learning some art or pottery terms in Japanese to get the full experience if you would want to participate in a workshop activity here.
