港の東側から生島や大避神社を望む事ができた。 観光協会のHPによると、 「生島は周囲1630ｍの小島。 大避神社の神域として、古代から人の出入りを禁止しています。『生島樹林』として、大正13年12月9日に 国の天然記念物の指定を受けています。また、6世紀半ばから7世紀半ばまで大和王権で活動した秦氏出身の豪族、秦河勝(はたのかわかつ)が最後に行き着いた場所が坂越であり、秦河勝のお墓が設置されています。」とあり、 遠目とはいえこのような場所は貴重でしょう。

釣りに。 一般人が入れない島を目の前に釣りは最高！ 前回ここで自然のイルカを見たが、イルカではない、マグロなのか、かなり巨大な魚が目の前で何度も跳ねてた。 あれが何だったのか気になる。
