2019年1月に訪れました。展示はごくわずか。行くまで知らなかったのですが、2010年に発生した土砂災害で、施設と収蔵品が甚大な被害を受けたそうです。

主に東南アジアの民具や民族衣装などを収蔵しているそうで、復旧がどれくらい進んでいるのかわからず、見られるものも少なかったけれど、個人的にとても興味深く、見ていて飽きないものばかりでした。

動植物園も、土砂災害の名残かと思われる汚れがそこここに見受けられました。南国の植物や多肉植物に関心がある方には見応えがあり、楽しめるのではないかと思います。動物は、こども（１歳）がガチョウの鳴き声にビックリして半泣きのまま回ったので、鳥と猿...
