I went here twice and just love this place! Perfect place for kayaking. I would recommend for renting a kayak to go a little bit further down the road. There it's a bit cheaper, longer and you gonna have more freedom.

マングローブ探検ツアーは1日5回行なわれ料金は2000円とこの手のツアーとしては格安でとても楽しいので奄美に来たら是非参加するほうがいい。行きは自分でカヌーを漕ぎ、帰りは流れに逆らうのでスタッフにカヌーを引っ張ってもらう。自分が参加したときは潮が引いていたので河岸に上陸してマングローブのトンネルを歩いたり記念撮影するなど貴重な体験ができた。潮や風向きによっては行けないこともあるらしい。特にスタッフによる撮影サービスはないので自分たちでカメラやスマートフォンなどで写真を撮る。

奄美大島に来たら絶対オススメの場所。カヌーでマングローブを身近に感じてください。ぼくは、マングローブ茶屋から1500円で借りました。時間無制限。忙しい時は時間制限。ひとりで自由に乗れます(西表島の時は必ずガイドが必要だったので高額)本当にマングローブはスゴかったです。 2022年再び訪れました。マングローブ茶屋からカヌーを借りましたが… 2時間1700円でした。マングローブ展望台は500円取られるのでマングローブ茶屋にある無料展望台がオススメです。

This is an amazing experience that is 100% worth it. You really shouldn’t skip this if you’re coming to Amami. It’s incredibly beautiful. I had also never canoed before this and was a little nervous not knowing what to expect, but there are guides that speak English well if you need it, and the canoeing itself is simple and relaxed- I think it is a great first...

It was a very nice experience. A must visit on Amami oshima! Our guide was Makoto Oyama san, and he spoke English as well. He was very knowledgeable, attentive, enthusiastic!
