It is not a full sea of blooms and not large in scale, but it has its own charm.

I visited in late July and literally melted walking under the scorching sun, even with an umbrella.

Parking costs 200 yen, and admission is free.

There is also a restaurant and a souvenir shop selling Awaji produce and local...

It's huge park and beautiful scenery. In clear weather we can see beautiful Akashi Bridge and blue ocean. I think in night time it's will be more beautiful with stars.! Hanasajiki also in one of the most famous for sightseeing and photo hunting. Try it and enjoy it.! I came here again after 5 months and there not much flower are blooming. So, I think it's better to come on spring or summer day. Because more variety of flowers...

와~~ 본토에도 이런곳이 있었다니.... 놀랐다. 북해도 비에이, 후라노쪽에서 보던 풍경을 여기서 볼 수 있다니 놀라웠다. 나중에 알아본거지만 여기출신의 북해도 개척장관이 비에이지역처럼 만들기위해 노력한 것이라고한다. 북해도와 다른점은 언덕의 꽃밭사이로 바다가 보인다는 점이다. 비에이에서는 저 멀리 높은 산들이 보였었다. 바다건너에는 칸사이공항도보이고 고베시내도 보인다. 계절에따라서 피는 꽃이다르다. 겨울을 제외하고는 여러 꽃들을 볼 수 있다. 이번에는 메밀꽃이랑 이름이 잊어버렸는데 멀리서보면 라벤더비슷한 꽃이 많이 피었었다. 아이스크림가게가 있는데 그냥소프트아이스크림도 맛있지만 시코쿠에서 많이나는 비와아이스크림이 특이했다. 비와는 시코쿠와 큐슈지역에서 쉽게 만날수 있는 특이한 노란색 과일이다. 그리고 매점에 들어가면 야파관련제품과 양파를 팔고있다. 일본에서 가장 맛있는 양파가 재배되고있다고한다. 양파가 맛있는 이유는 아랫 글 참조 御食国・淡路島を代表する食材のひとつ「たまねぎ」。今から約130年前に淡路島での栽培がはじまりました。昭和39年には、栽培面積が3,000ha を超え、日本一の大産地となりました。瀬戸内海最大の島・淡路島は、年間の平均気温16℃という1年を通して温暖な気候で、日照時間も長く、寒さが苦手なたまねぎ栽培に適した地だったのです。水稲の裏作として栽培される淡路島のたまねぎ。米とたまねぎを交互に栽培することや、島内でたくさん飼われている牛の堆肥を田んぼに入れることで、たまねぎが育ちやすい土作りができています。ながく淡路島に伝わる伝統的な農法なのです。 風土と栽培方法が 唯一無二の美味しさを生む。 図1の通り、「甘さ」「柔らかさ」において他産地と一線を画す淡路島のたまねぎ。海のミネラルを豊富に含んだ肥沃な土壌は、播磨灘・大阪湾・紀伊水道という3つの海に囲まれた淡路島ならでは。さらに水はけが良いため、余分な水分がたまねぎに吸収されず、甘さと栄養分がギュッと凝縮したたまねぎが生まれるのです。また、恵まれた風土だけでなく、淡路島ならではの栽培方法もその美味しさを底上げしています。 淡路島では約7カ月の栽培期間で収穫されるたまねぎ。秋に植え付けて春に収穫するため、じっくり冬を越え、時間をかけてしっかりと栄養分を貯えているのです。さらに、葉が倒れだす収穫期のサインを迎えてもそこから約1週間程度経過させ、田んぼで完熟させてから収穫します。そして、初夏には壁のない小屋にたくさんのたまねぎが吊り下げられている「たまねぎ小屋」の風景が見られます。これも、たまねぎを美味しくする知恵。「葉を結び、風通しの良い場所で太陽の光に当てて貯蔵することで、葉の養分が球におりてより一層甘くなる。皮の色もさらに輝いてくる。」と農家の人は話します。現在では、様々な品種を島内で栽培しており、生食が美味しい早生品種、収穫後貯蔵することでさらに甘み成分が増していく晩生品種など、淡路島では1年中美味しいたまねぎに出会えます。
