「奥宮四之鳥居」から「奥宮五之鳥居」までは両側が 切り立った急斜面の細い尾根道を辿ります。五之鳥居をくぐり妙法ヶ岳の北西斜面をトラバースして、大岩の桟道を乗り越えて、急な石段と鎖場を登ると、そこにはパワースポット「三峯神社奥宮」が鎮座しています。 社殿の脇には、「秩父宮殿下御登山記念碑(大正十四年五月十一日)」がありました。不便な時代に宮様がこの地を踏んだという事に驚きを禁じ得ません。皇太子殿下の登山好きは御血筋なのでしょうか。

五の鳥居らしいものは無かったです。 四の鳥居から目指してきましたが、何もなく鎖場に到達してしまいました。 途中鉄製の足場があったので、ルートが変わっているのかも...
