There is a direct bus (100 yen) from the Daizaifu train station to this shrine. I do recommend taking that mode of transport. We walked from Daizaifu Tenmangu to this place.... A long but quiet walk amongst the pine trees (took the trekking terrain). It was a 2km walk (about 30mins). But it was worth it. A nice shrine, nestled in a sea of plum trees. It is a shrine that seems to bless couples (or those seeking love luck)

"Serenity (before 10.30)" Arrived early for Dazaifu and most shops weren't opened yet, so we headed to Kamado Shrine instead. Glad we made it early and managed to catch the place before the crowds set in. Beautiful and quiet, the shrine's set atop the mountain which provided a beautiful view overlooking Dazaifu. The amulet gift shop—designed by Masamichi Katayama—is one of the most modern ones I've ever come across!

Took a bus near the Daizaifu station to a mountain to reach this temple. The bus fare is 100 yen and though it is a small temple, i love the view from the temple. Even in early December we can still see some colour leaves. I learnt this temple is popular since it has the same name as the last name of Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer. Worth a visit.

Due to the fall foliage, the shrine was very busy on a Saturday morning. However, the shrine is very small in comparison to many of the other Shrines in the area. While the fall foliage was nice, with all the crowds and not having too many maple trees, it didn’t really seem worth it. 10 minutes is all you really need for this shrine.

The Kamado Shrine is located about 10 minutes bus ride from Dazaifu Station. The bus was not frequent - about two per hour so please check the timetable. The omamori available here are of great variety and some of them are quite unique design too. Although we visited on an extremely hot day, we enjoyed it very much.

Visited on 20/11/22, a Sunday afternoon. The car queue to the parking lots is long (at least 30 mins wait) and the place is popular with locals during red leaves season. Maple leaves are pretty but seem not "red" enough. The place is quite small so can visit the whole place within 1.5 hours.
