Visited on 22 May 2025. very serene, with minimal crowd. lots of locals go there to fish. make sure you check the weather and the live camera to catch fuji san. i arrived around 4pm+ with a relatively clear sky and it was the perfect timing to catch the reflection of Fujisan in the lake. the Mt Fuji Heritage Center is an inverted spitting image of this exact scene. There were many birds, fish, plants, and insects (though none were biting or stinging that we encountered) so it is a great place to go for a nature enthusiast. Read moreActually we couldn’t find the tanuki deck 😂 We saw the signs and followed it up a bit but it was all overgrown and covered in spiders. We thought it can’t be that good of a deck if the pathway there isn’t maintained and not one person walked it before us on a busy day.
