The best thing about this hotel is location. If you are a tourist and are in a shopping mood for souvenirs then the Asukasa area is the place for you. There's also lots of restaurants around. The room is a bit small and I don't really like the setup with the TV on the side of the bed. Shower is excellent and a really top notch toilet with a heated seat. I thought I had ordered breakfast when I booked but I was told I didn't. Not a disaster as I only stayed 2 days but it's something I never do. The place is is clean so I'll give...

Mount Fuji and the Hike is beautiful of course.

Station 5 is very strange. You can buy very expensive food and drinks, but then there is no trash can and signs saying you have to take the trash home with you. Then again there is a Shuttlebus to kawaguchiko, where the staff tells you not to bring trash on the bus. So they force you to put used beer cans in your backpack, very unpleasant.

Japanese people can't be serious about this, hope they fix it.

VERY STRANGE SITUATION, DONT BUY FOOD OR DRINK HERE,...

Our first destination after checking out from Fuji Mihana Resort was the 5th Station of Mount Fuji. Fortunately, the weather was on our side as we made our way up. Despite the damp cold, with temperatures plunging to minus 7 degrees, our spirits remained high. We huddled in the warmth of the souvenir shop, trying to steal some warmth before braving the chill outside for a better sightseeing experience. The stunning views of Mount Fuji made every shiver worth it.

Harassed at Mount Fuji entrance. Staff (two Chinese ladies in green) demanded I replace all my clothes and shoes with expensive gear from their shop, or they’d refuse my ticket. When I refused, they said I would “die up there,” that I was “doing it to myself,” and I “don’t deserve help” because I declined. This happened today, August 9, around 6:10 AM — I will add video. I climbed in my own gear and returned safely. Feels like a tourist trap — unprofessional and unacceptable.
