Irohamaru Exhibition Hall — Attraction in Fukuyama

This museum shows that Irohamaru-accident. This was a ship accident between Irohamaru and the ship which belonged to Kishu-Han. The company called Kaientai conducted Irohamaru and they got an accident around this area. Kishu-Han was so strong that it was difficult to be against them at that time. However, thanks to Sakamoto Ryoma, who founded the company, Kaientai could receive compensations. You can know the life of Sakamoto Ryoma adding to Irohamaru-accident. 大洲藩が購入し坂本龍馬の海援隊が運用していた蒸気船のいろは丸が、瀬戸内海を航行中に紀州藩所有の蒸気船・明光丸と衝突して大破、鞆の浦にむけて曳航中に沈没した海難事故と、その後の賠償交渉をふくめた「いろは丸事件」にちなんだ展示館です。 龍馬は交渉を有利に進めるために世論をあおり、紀州藩の体面を徹底的に傷つけました。万国公法をたてに紀州藩を煙に巻き、疲弊させました。やっていることはいまの共産党、立憲民主党のたぐいとおなじです。武士のふるまいとは言いがたく、まるっきり悪徳商人、あるいはモンスタークレーマーです。 その結果、過失割合は明光丸一〇に対していろは丸は〇で、海援隊の全面勝利となりました。その後の研究によれば、いろは丸にも少なからざる過失があった、いろは丸の積荷と損害金額は大幅に水増しされていたとの説があるにもかかわらずそうなりました。紀州藩の責任者であった茂田一次郎は小身から努力を重ねて出世をとげた苦労人にもかかわらず、龍馬に関わったがために人生を台無しにされました。龍馬が掠め取った賠償金は八万両、現代の金額にして一六〇億円を超えますが、彼自身は大金を手にすることなく惨殺されました。龍馬暗殺の下手人としては見廻組の佐々木只三郎、新選組の大石鍬次郎に斎藤一、果ては薩摩の中村半次郎までいろいろと説はありますが、当時から紀州藩の意趣返しとの噂はありました。ただ、それではあまりに無様なので、当時の名だたる剣客の名が挙げられたのでしょう。そしてまあ、こんなことやっていれば誰に斬られたとしても天罰としか思えません。

ここはあくまで龍馬の側に立った展示なので、龍馬の交渉術を讃えてはいてもあこぎなやり方を非難したりはしていません。そのほうがライトユーザー向けではあると思いますが、内容の薄さは否めません。予定をくりあわせてまで見る価値はありませんが、時間つぶしにはなります。

あと、龍馬が手にすることのなかった賠償金ですが、その後どうなったかが実ははっきりとしません。俗説の域は出ませんが、横領されて、とある財閥の設立資金になったという噂が…おや、誰か来たような...
