Funabashi Sanbanze Seaside Park — Attraction in Funabashi

Can get way too crowded during the weekend, but even during summer vacation you can find a nice spot if you come during the weekday. It's not a great beach for water-based activities, as the waves are thin. But the large tidal area makes it a great place for young children to learn and experience the beach. Would give it 5 stars if the Tokyo Bay area was just less polluted, as you can constantly find small pieces of garbage. If you're careful barefoot is safe enough, but shoes will provide a more relaxed experience. Also, the local food vendors have great pricing, with the kebab being very filling for the price, and lots of shaved ice! Not many other facilities nearby, but there is a small rental BBQ area and rental tennis courts nearby, as is a small non-ocean green area. Nice day out for the kids. They find clam picking exciting. Clams dug cost plus/minus 1000 yen per kg.

There is an Indian/Pakistani food stand with interesting food. Chicken Biryani 550 yen,BUT AVOID THIS INDIAN FOOD AND KEBAAB STAND. VERY POOR QUALITY FOOD AND DODGY HYGIENE

Other food stands also available including a sit down restaurant serving light meals and ice cream inside the reception building.

Fishing is possible on the flanks of the clam digging area so carry your tackle.

A very beautiful sea view beach and picnic area with a modern facility offering benches in a deck to enjoy the view. Sandy beach is great to see the sunset and lights of Tokyo city at the farthest end. Lush green tall grass looks amazing with speedy wind coming over the sea.
