Wakamatsu Park — Attraction in Funabashi

For the area, I have to say this is a great park. Lots of open, green space for picnics and flying kites. Hills for sledding in the winter and plenty of play equipment spread out over a large area.

We went recently on a hot day and there was a lot of shaded areas either under trees or on benches under a purpose-build shade.

It’s a bit of a walk from the station but doable, if you can drive or go by bike it is worth the journey.

The park is close to the ocean, LaLaport and Ikea so there are options for shopping and lunch too.

Unique for its jointed shape, length, and for the fact that it stretches out alongside a channeled river. The two big hills look like good fun as well and the pathways are winding and...

bit different (with some hills) from other parks ... otherwise same facilities. ... but don't come here thinking u can see ocean...
