This is an amazing archaelogical site but we did not find the staff overly welcoming. Perhaps they did not speak English. There were no signs disallowing pets so when we took our dog out of the car to stretch his legs, the attendee yelled something. We figured they wanted money but no, they wanted the pet gone. So they left us alone after the dog was back in the car. The pits are fascinating and the boards describe the dwellings well. It was okay if you happen to be passing through but wouldn't worry about making a special trip just...
