Take the "bound for Kanzanji Onsen" from the bus terminal stop No. 1 Bus #30 outside the North exit of Hamamatsu Station. " Cash or credit card. Suica cannot be used. Take the ticket when you board the bus at the middle door. Look at the ticket number and the board in front to check the fare. Eg if your ticket shows 1, then as the journey progresses, you look for 1 on the board for the fare. It was ¥610 one way. When you alight, drop the ticket into the box where the driver is, together with the exact amount. Suggest you Q for the bus 10-15mins before departure if you want to be sure of getting a seat. Otherwise you may have to stand for the 40 min ride. . Buses run every about 30 minutes. Get the timetable from the Tourist office at the train station. Get off at the "Flower Park" bus stop which is where most passengers alighted. Cross the road to enter the park. E-tickets bought from the Japanese website a day before gives a ¥100 discount. So we paid ¥900 instead of ¥1000 during our visit. Beautiful park with lots of flowers during our visit Sat 12 April 2025. We took the choo choo park train and alighted near the greenhouse. Then walked back to where most of the tulips were. We found the commentary on the train too loud during the ride and spoilt the beauty of being able to soak in the atmosphere of the park. Much better when we alighted & walked on our own. I was surprised there were still some sakura blossoms left. Gorgeous colours from the wide variety of tulips and the best part is being able to walk on the grass to view the flowers. It wasn’t so crowded during our visit.

From Toyohashi in Aichi, getting to the park was relatively easy. My partner and I arrived around lunchtime. The parking lot in front of the park was full, so we had to drive a bit further—about 50 meters—to park at the flower park’s public parking area. From there, it was about a 5-minute walk to the park. We didn’t buy tickets in advance, but the queue moved quickly, so the wait was a breeze. They don’t accept cards, so be sure to bring cash when you visit. First, we headed straight to the café. They don’t accept cards there either. After lunch, we strolled around the park. We walked around for a good 2–3 hours and would’ve stayed longer if it hadn’t gotten unbearably cold (we left our jackets in the car—our fault, lol). The narcissus, tulips, and sakura were in full bloom when we visited. We also bought zoo tickets but decided not to go—again, no jackets, lol. Although we came for the flower-viewing, the cactus and succulents greenhouse ended up being the highlight for me. I’ve never seen so many cacti and succulents in one place. The narcissus field looked like something out of a fairytale. Tulips in a rainbow of colors could be seen all around the park. The giant animal topiaries near the cactus greenhouse were also a sight to see. Be sure to ride the train (tickets are 100 yen) and take the ferris wheel for a view of the entire park from above. Phone stands are also available at some photogenic spots, so take advantage of those. All in all, my partner and I had a great experience. I’d give this 5 stars—if only the park accepted cards!

Beautifull park and gardens. We went out of season and it was very quiet but a lovely park to visit. Spiders put me off a little as me and my partner are not big fans, and they were everywhere in the bushes and trees. The zoo however I would only rate 1* if that. The cages were dirty and so small. Thought i was walking into a prison in some areas. Animals were all skinny. A couple of animals had open wounds, and they didn't have any space to move around. Compared to the garden area and even all the spare area they have in the zoo they could use to make enclosures bigger. Black panthers weere stuck in a 12x12 outdoor area that was flooded from there water source so only had the one platform to lay on or be inside. It made me quite upset seeing them really, and we left as soon as we could and went back to the gardens.

I recently visited Hamamatsu Flower Park during the spring season, and it was an unforgettable experience. The wisteria blossoms were in full bloom, creating a stunning canopy of purple and white flowers. Walking beneath the 170-meter-long wisteria trellis felt like stepping into a dream. The rose garden was equally captivating, with a vibrant array of colors and fragrances. Each rose variety was meticulously cared for, making the garden a true feast for the senses. The park’s layout is thoughtfully designed, offering scenic spots at every turn. The combination of seasonal flowers, well-maintained paths, and tranquil water features creates a perfect setting for relaxation and photography. If you’re in the Hamamatsu area, I highly recommend visiting this park. It’s a beautiful escape into nature’s splendor.

Huge park with a zoo, lots of interesting flowers to see, all well cared for and perfectly presented. There's a stream and small lakes that run through that are full of Koi, and it's so peaceful to sit there. There are ice cream and drinks vending machines and also, 200 Yen fish food vending machines for you to feed the Koi! The Zoo is well cared for, but some of the animals seem a little stressed; so beware, as you may feel unsettled by it. Though most of the animals there seemed to be happy and content. As is with everything in Japan, it's very clean and tidy. A nice little day out. Easy to reach on the bus, which accepts VISA 😀 tap your card once to enter and, sit down, then when you get off, tap your card on the card reader near the driver before you leave and you're done ☺️ enjoy 😉

If you like flowers here's the place. This place is as out of way as some other nature attractions in Hamamatsu. Bus 30 is the bus to and from Hamamatsu Eki station and is also where shinkansen is. There's a food court where you purchase a meal ticket waiting for your number to be called in Japanese. No visual cues! However with my very basic japanese I try to make out the numbers until I am confused so I just try my luck twice with the counter share until she understood I couldn't understand japanese, I stood by the counter area waiting for my turn and when I heard something familiar I signalled to move forward and the counter staff was nice to remember and signalled me over. I felt relieved when I could get my lunch there.
