Great value for money, lots of parking space and a interesting collection of animals. For the price paid the zoo definitely provides a good experience. It's great for people of all ages and accessible for young children, elderly people and Wheelchair users etc. Unfortunately as other people have noted there are empty cages, which was disappointing. The facilities to get food and souvenirs are lacking. The zoo feels like it could benefit from being updated and increase the facilities as well as the animals. I'm sure an increase in entry fee would be accepted if the zoo was improved. Toyohashi zoo is quite close and offers more. However, Hammazoo does open on Mondays unlike a lot of other attractions.
