小牧ヴィンヤード — Attraction in Hokuto

Opened the store even tho they were busy with grape harvest.

Had only two wines, cab/merlot 6000 JPY and sauv blanc 3000 JPY and one non alcoholic cab juice 3000 JPY. Sold out of another red and white (forgot the cultivar)

北杜市八ヶ岳の南麓、甲斐駒ヶ岳を間近に望む標高820mの丘の上にあります。垣根式のワイン用葡萄畑が目の前に広がります。今回はプレミアムヴィンヤード見学ツアー（約90分、内容：ブドウ畑のご案内、ミニテイスティングセミナーのランチコース付）を体験させて頂きました。“ワイナリー”はブドウ畑に醸造しているところで、“ヴィンヤード”とは醸造所はなく、ブドウ生育のみのところになるそうです。小牧ヴィンヤードでは醸造は他に委託させているとのこと。ただし、ワイン造りにおいて最も大事なところはやはり、ブドウ造りであり、そこに全精力をかけているとのことでした。育成方法や季節毎の管理、品種別の特徴などを詳細に説明頂けました。畑には赤系のシャインマスカット、通常のシャインマスカットやキウイも植えられており、若干残っていた実も頂くことができました。ブドウ畑にはMerlot、小公子、Cabernet Franc、Cabernet　Sauvignon等のブドウが大切に育てられていました。ブドウ畑は八ヶ岳、富士さん、南アルプスに囲まれており、秋冬の天気の良い日は絶景が、目の前に広がるそうです。ヴィンヤードの見学後は、ヴィンヤードを眺めながらワインのテイスティング（白、赤）を頂きました。テイスティングの後はワインカフェにて、地元食材を使ったランチコースを堪能しました。ワインはPrologue...

Had a really nice time with my wife here. We did the premium course (8,000 yen per person) which included 3 drinks (1 sparkling and 2 reds) with a full course meal, all of which were really good! The owner/guide (Komatsu-san) was so knowledgeable and kind. We ended up buying one bottle of red to take home with us because it was such a nice experience. Highly...
