日本最南端のJR駅として知られる西大山駅は、まさに絶景スポットです。 駅から見える開聞岳（薩摩富士）の雄大な姿は、言葉を失うほどの美しさ。ここに到着すると、日常の喧騒を忘れ、自然のパワーに圧倒されます。 駐車場は駅のすぐそばに無料で利用できるスペースがありますが、それほど広くはないため、ピーク時には少し混雑するかもしれません。私が訪れたのは平日の昼間で、観光客も少なく、ゆったりと過ごすことができました。 休日や観光シーズンにはやや混むかもしれないので、早めに訪れると良いでしょう。 駅自体は無人駅で、のんびりとした時間が流れています。 電車は1日に数本しか来ませんが、その静けさも魅力のひとつです。 ここでは、ぜひ記念写真を撮ってみてください。日本最南端の駅を示すプレートもあり、記念になること間違いなしです！ 訪問した際は、ぜひ周囲の大自然も楽しんでください。
