This was recommended to us. We visited mid week during school term in early September. There were only a few visitors there with us so it was like a private visit. On entry, you have to pay 1000 yen cash in the machine to enter the car park. Then for entry it is 1500 yen per adult. You pay at the machine which accepts cash or credit card. At the entrance you can buy a basket of food to feed the animals. This is a must as it was so much fun. Our favourite animal is the giraffe. They stick out their tongue for you to place a small piece of banana on it before eating it. They were so cute and bell behaved. A close second is the lemur. They do climb on you but we felt safe.

The facilities look as if they are not as kept up as before and the smell was awful. It’s fun to be able to pet the animals, but they were quite dirty this time around. I think if they provided brushes it would be fun to help keep the animals clean, especially the capybara...
