This was an unexpected highlight of our stop in Ichikawa.
We were supposed to go to a nearby activities park but they were shut so the Uber driver recommended this place and it was a hit with all of us - adults, teens and 8yo child.
There were lots of crane machines that cost 100yen to play and actually give you prizes! There were arcade games, go carting, darts, billiard hall, batting cages and even basketball courts all in one place!!
The batting cages were affordable - better rates than the one on too of Yodobashi.
If you're travelling by taxi tho - its hard to get a taxi in this area and calling local ones and not speaking the language means you may get declined service.
The upside - they have their own free shuttle service to and from Ichikawa-Ono train station which actually saved us big time!
We all walked away tired but carrying lots of prizes from the crane games - big ones too!
There was a snack bar and it was good. There were restaurants but they did not open until later in the day.
The staff were all helpful and friendly. Although not very many speak English, they all tried and we got by using Google translate.
Great place and if we're in the area longer we...
Read moreDaikeien in Chiba City is one of the biggest game centers in Japan and it's definitely worth the visit. Although it's a bit far from the station, we drove there and found a huge open-air parking space available. The design of the place is very interesting and cool, resembling an American-style entertainment center. There's even open space to play basketball, along with several buildings that offer different types of games and sports for visitors to enjoy.
Everywhere you look there are crane games. The place also includes cool racing cars (go-karts), and a huge area for playing billiards, darts, and even karaoke. In addition, there are two restaurants and a few small shops that offer fast food. Daikeien is a perfect place for a whole day of fun and games, suitable for both families and friends. There's something for everyone here, with a variety of entertainment options to choose from.
It was great time at Daikeien and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a...
Read moreThe place is nice and there are many things to do but the staff's attitude is not good especially the billiards staff who have no respect for customers we came from there today August 24, Sunday and around 7:30pm - 8pm the staff are rude especially the small mongoloid looking one we asked how much more we would pay for the extension and he chased us away like dogs... even if they said that my companions did something which they didn't. that's so bad because they used powder on the billiard table they should have said properly that it's not allowed not when we were chased away like animals by a man who looked crazy and when I talked to him he didn't face us and just turned his back on us and the 2 other staff with him... I hope you fix the way you treat your customers not only the Japanese but also the foreigners... it was our 5th time there and this is the only time we encountered a staff like him we are all disappointed...
