Omachi Park — Attraction in Ichikawa

If you want an escape from the bustling cities and like to listen to the sounds of birds and insects creaking, walk under the tall trees, and along the natural wetlands then this is a place you must visit. The place initially felt like an abandoned territory but the more we went inside to explore it was simply a wow! Better to go by the route of Ichikawa zoo then the entrance to this reserve gets easier to access. Had some marvelous views of autumn colors this year and it simply made our day. Pristine routes...

2024/01/07追記 コロナ禍の影響もあって整備されないのか、最近は大きな池にも吉原が発生して、どこの水場も泥が溜まって水深が浅く、鳥や鯉は苦しそう。　珍しい鳥もあまりこなくなっています。

元々の自然に帰るというのなら、こういう姿かもしれないなとは思いますが、ちょっと残念。

ただ　ススキとぶつかる　外来種のセイタカアワダチソウの引き抜き作業は、毎年されていて（関係者のご家族か、ボランティアの方が参加しているようです）そこはギリギリセーフでお疲れ様です。

Lovely park although we're all waiting for spring to wake everything up😊. Not long to go! Can't wait to to come back during the different seasons. Quite a large park and seems to be popular with bird watchers. I'm sure when all the plants and flowers begin to bloom the park will be beautiful. The cactus house was also fantastic....
