A great museum about the geological heritage of Japan and the Itoigawa region. There are hundred of different rocks and minerals to see and great videos with detailed explanations and easy to understand animations. One of the few museums I've visited which had almost everything translated to English. Would recommend to anyone even remotely interested in geology or the history of the region; or if you're looking into finding jade on the coast.
