Probably the closest beach to the 'homestead', it's an amazing stretch of sandy coastline, beach walker paradise. I'm old enough (lucky enough) to have come here before the cafes, traffic and pay parking but it's still relatively uncrowded on the weekdays. Despite all the cafes, it's probably best to bring a cooler of food and beer. Nice warm, clear water. Fun island to swim out to, can practically walk out to it at low tide, high tide and the beach can be...
