OK, this gorgeous spot is a definitely worthwhile day trip from Iwakuni. Take one route there, and return another in a loop for a scenic day out. At a guess, we would say there are at least 7 waterfalls, probably more...we lost count. The idea is you climb, climb, climb a well marked path with steep, steps and low hand rails (tall people beware...if you don’t watch your centre of gravity, the hand rail will not be of much help if you tumble). The climb takes you up, up, up past numerous waterfalls in the one flow of water...a single flow down the chasm. We stopped climbing once the path narrowed and the railing was replaced by a chain. The day we were there (late January) we did not see one person at all...was a little spooky because it felt the worst place to get a twisted ankle for a foreigner couple on a day out. Was absolutely worth it because it was stunningly gorgeous and a relaxed drive through mountain valleys. Points to remember are: Not a place to take small children. The pathways are sheer drops though a rail is there, but that’s all. Toilet blocks were closed. On a midweek day, Expect to see no one. Its spookily quiet and feels remote. In summer, this must be a top-ranked place to Camp, with shelters and camp kitchens and campsites roughly marked. Wear decent hiking boots. Would be slippery in...

Beautiful hiking and camping spot. The mountain roads out to the parking lots are narrow and curvy. The 7 falls hike is all stairs. We climbed I think 55 flights of stairs. But it was beautiful. The trail (stairs) follow the waterfalls up to the top. Everything was very wide and easy until the very top where we had to scale the rocks to get to the tunnels. But it would be very easy to turn around. We went both ways through the tunnels but ended up turning around and walking back down the stairs. Overall very beautiful. We parking in the lot by the little store and restrooms. We got ice cream bars and bottled water water the hike. The store has a large map and...

Nice hike with amazing scenic views. If you travel here for the day be aware that you'll arrive to the first parking lot that has bathrooms and a store And if you continue on there's a second parking lot for people camping out and when we visited it was full. Just turn around there and go back to the first parking lot if the second one is full because we continue driving and the road is very small and sketchy and we did not find another parking lot we had to turn around And it took a while to find an area wide...

Great place for a hike but bring decent shoes and a lot of energy to walk up stairs. Hiking the falls is almost a stairway straight up. The falls and nature were beautiful. Did not make it to all the falls before it got too late and had to head back. found a really interesting frog too
