Nishikinohama Beach Park The park is very impressive with its beautiful green pine-covered areas and white beach, where many visitors enjoy clamming, barbecuing, sea bathing and marine sports. This beach park, a 10-minute walk from Nishikinohama Station on the Nankai Main Line, is popular due to its easy accessibility (less than one hour from downtown Osaka). Visitors can enjoy digging clams from early April to early June and bathing from mid-June to late August. During this period the park is full of people enjoying various marine and beach activities, including families and young windsurfers. The park also has facilities for barbecuing. The Nishiki (literally two colors) in Nishikinohama refers to the white of the 1km-long sand beach and the green of the pine groves. Make sure you stock up at a local convince store for food and drinks, as not really available on the beach save for a restaurant and some vending machine.
