Worth every excruciating step of the way! It was a hard climb, so much sweat 💦 but the effort was paid off with the most insane view. Best of all, we were the only ones up there!! Major bucket list item has been checked off!

Highly recommend you start the hike up early in the morning, especially if you go during the hotter months. We went at the beginning of September and started around 8am. It was still cool under the trees but once we started the descent, the sun was starting to feel really hot 🔥

Plenty of parking at the base - simply find the Takaya Shrine parking...

It’s not that easy to reach the destination. From the parking lot, it’s a 1.5-kilometer walk. The journey is quite challenging: the first 500 meters are on a flat but steep road. The next 500 meters are the hardest, with rough terrain covered in uneven surfaces and rocks of various sizes. The final section involves climbing stairs, which requires full concentration.

However, once you reach the destination, the view is stunning. To avoid glare in your photos, it’s best to arrive...

One of the top spots if you go visiting Shikoku.

The view is breathtaking and nothing else come close in comparison. Even in the hot summer months of August, it feels good up there.

When I visited this place the mountain drive to the carpark was closed due to fallen rocks, so I decided to walk up. It was not an easy walk especially in the summer, trees are blocking any hint of wind on your way up, and the path is not paved, mostly rock based.

Still,...
