The Mog Champ sends his regards. This is one of the most beautiful places I've been during my 5 week trip in Japan last July. Honestly, I found this place through Instagram and if it wasn't for a random reel, I wouldn't have known about this at all! The view at the top after an Incline hike is so deserving and rewarding that you would love it so much and appreciate the surrounding perspective from the peak of the tori gate. Make sure to bring a lot of water and good shoes with grip! I was here when it rained a day or two prior and the path was a bit challenging despite the day being sunny and dried up as well. It would take about an hour to hour and a half to get to the top depending on your pacing, and about the same to get back down as well. It's a well-maintained point of interest too! めっちゃいい景色くぽ! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ

my friend and I climbed this in June 2023 and we literally thought we were gonna slip and fall many times when climbing up. the slopes were so TOUGH and STEEP, especially since we went the day after it rained so the path was all muddy. please note that there will not be any proper pathing (no stairs) until you are near the shrine area. for those who are not physically fit, BE VERY PREPARED!! it took us about 1hr 15 mins... but at least the view was worth it 😭

The view from here is astonishing but to get at the top is a hell of a hike!!!! It’s not a walk at all!!! From the base until the top is 1700m with an average angle of 35 degrees!! The path is even until 300m but then it gets made of random unstable rocks. Moreover, the final stairs are like fatal move in Mortal Kombat!! Once you get there is really beautiful! Be prepared tho, don’t underestimate it

On March 29, 2023, my wife and I drove up here when the sun was setting. The panoramic sight was gorgeous and was worth the effort of climbing up the twisty narrow roads Ip here. We should have stayed here until the sun had set. But we made the wrong decision in our attempt to see sunset at the Chichibugahama Beach (about another 30 minutes’ drive) as well.
