Myōraku-ji — Attraction in Kawasaki

It is an awesome place to see hydrangeas! Pictures cannot reflect the beauty of flowers and the atmosphere of this place. We went there yesterday after the rain - it was fantastic. Visited this shrine first time in July 2021. The Ajisai blossom was awesome. We enjoyed it very much with the family. Comparing to Kamakura, the flowers plant is wider and more beautiful. ６月中旬日曜日午前に参拝しました。この季節ならではの「紫陽花」を拝見させていただきたく参りました。向ヶ丘遊園駅、もしくは登戸駅からバスが出ています。特に登戸駅からはこの時期、シャトルバスが出ているので便利です。 宿河原駅からも１５分〜２０分位で歩くことはできますが、このお寺は丘の上にありますので、長い坂を上がるのはなかなかにしんどいと思います。 足腰に自信のない方、小さなお子様連れの方はバスでの利用をお勧めします。 また、敷地内は梅雨の時期、泥濘んでいて階段もあるためサンダルやヒールのある靴はおすすめしません。 近くに大型の駐車場などはありません。 こちらは天台宗に属するお寺で、建立など成り立ち、歴史などは看板に記してあります。 すでにお寺の外から、紫陽花が咲き乱れる様子が見られます。 お寺の建屋と咲き乱れる様々な種類の紫陽花が相まって、その美しさにいたく感動いたしました。 午前中ではありますが、すでに参拝客で溢れかえっていました。 敷地内には並ばずに入ることはできましたが、参拝するまでに５組以上並んではいました。 本堂の周囲に見事な満開の紫陽花を観ることができるため、カメラを構える観光客の方々は多かったです。 こちらは鎌倉にある紫陽花寺（明月院や長谷寺など）に比べて、だいぶゆったりと観る事ができます。それなりに参拝客は居ますが、観光客にまみれることもありません。 様々な種類の紫陽花をゆったりと堪能することができます。 お寺の敷地内には小規模の売店が出ており、和菓子やジュースなど買うことができます。 小規模ながら休憩所もあり、自動販売機もあ...
