市内からはかなり西に離れた丘陵に位置しますので交通の便は良くないのですがそのぶん、静かです。 規模は小さくこぢんまりしていますが、開館時間の間は冷暖房のある建物の中で、目の前の池に来る野鳥たちの観察ができます。スポッティングスコープや双眼鏡もあるので手ぶらで寄っても楽しめます。カワセミ用の足場もしつらえてありますので運が良ければ観察出来るかもしれません。小さな鳥で飛ぶときは素早いので写真におさめるには運とそれなりのカメラと腕は必要でしょう。カワセミ以外にも多くの鳥たちが集まるのでどの鳥に会えるかはお楽しみ。落葉して見通しが良くなる冬場が会えるチャンスです。トイレと飲料自販機はありますが野鳥庵内は...

紅葉を見に訪れましたが入園無料の割には人が少なく静かな場所です。観鳥楼の中に入って見ましたがバードカービングの作品が見れたり、ペレットストーブのペレットときこりのろうそくの販売もあり、訪れた時、池にはマガモの集団しか居ませんでしたが季節やタイミングによっては色んな野鳥が見れるみたいですね。 ハイキングコースもあるので、機会があれば軽装備をして一度歩きまわってみたいです。 7台まで停めれる無料の駐車場があるのですが、前進駐車なのでバックで出る時に気を付けて下さい。車通りが少ない道ですがたまにスピードを出して車が走ってきます。
