A wonderful tribute to an illustrator that anyone growing up in Japan will be familiar with. The museum not only features originals (and carefully produced conservatory grade reproductions of those too delicate to display) but also a huge library of Japanese language children’s picture books that visitors can browse and read at their leisure. The museum shop has a variety of interesting souvenirs.
