Green Road, aka Kenny Road runs east and west and at its highest point reaches approx. 1100 meters. Across the Takamori Valley, Mt. Aso and Mt. Neko (named "root" because it looks like something uprooted) stand watch. A word of caution: Kenny Road is a favorite of motorcycles, some which find more pleasure in speed than the stunning views

西原村の方からスタート。 去年来た時には通行止めで通れなかったので今年は走ってみようということで、目的地の1つに設定しました。 平日で酷暑のせいなのか、阿蘇は他に良い景色があり過ぎるのか、あまり車もバイクも通らない道でした。ケニーロバーツが愛してやまない道と言うことで通称『ケニーロード』と呼ばれてるそうですが、木も生い茂って道路まで伸びていたり、砂利もあったりと速度を出し過ぎると危ないです。 ゆっくり走るには良いです。南阿蘇の方に抜けると天気の良さも相まって、絵に書いたような綺麗な景色でした。
