The Aoshima Subtropical Botanical Garden is a hidden gem in Miyazaki that’s absolutely worth a visit. Many parts of the park are free to enter, which makes it not only beautiful but also incredibly budget-friendly. The grounds are lush and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful stroll among exotic plants and vibrant greenery.

There’s a lovely little café inside the garden where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings. I especially loved the gift shop—it’s full of charming Miyazaki specialties and local products, all beautifully displayed. Just walking through the shop is a treat in itself!

Whether you’re a nature lover, a casual traveler, or just looking for a relaxing stop near Aoshima, this garden offers a perfect mix of culture, scenery, and...

Florante Miyazaki is a flower park which is known for its brightly hued blooms that you can see throughout the year.

The reason for this is that there are a number of different flowers on display which bloom in different seasons, and this means that you will not be disappointed no matter when you visit.

Even in the winter months there is something to see here, as the gardens are festooned in lights and take on a fairytale like quality.

You can also go trekking around the park or ride on a small wooden train which cuts through the countryside and lets you see the flowers without having to...

We went here for the illumination. Since we arrived earlier before the illumination started. We walked around the park. Sadly, there were not much flowers around since it was winter. Not much to do but luckily there were some food trucks around when we went. The illumination started after sunset. I enjoyed seeing the sunset too. The illumination was beautiful but expect more people during those times. We went here by bus so make sure to know the time for the last bus from the area since it tends to be early. Enjoyed the...

We visited there in early March and saw many people were planting the flower seedlings. Not many tulip were blooming, but just some at the time. Still a beautiful day to walk around, though. The entrance fee was 310 yen, we needed to buy the ticket at the entrance, only by cash. There was a special event was on, which was a bonus to have a look around. The cafe was available only a few hours during the daytime. So it would be great to bring your own food, snacks and drinks for picnic. The parking was huge and spacious.
