What an amazing place! Below Muroto there’s nothing but eons of ocean until Papua New Guinea, so this spot fascinates me. I call it the edge of the world. This cape is surrounded by giant, beautiful rock formations, some of which look like fossils because of the way they’ve been eroded by salt. I love the drive along the coast as well. Such a relaxing place!

This is a beautiful gravel beach formed of weird shaped rocks. l never get tired of looking at that. When I visited this place, there was no one but me. It was relaxing. But, I found the large skeleton of a whale carcass on the beach. I got disgusted.

A scenic spot in Shikoku. Plenty of free parking next to tourist information office. You can take a walking trail along the coast, or climb up the view point behind the statue to take in the panoramic view. Some Japanese ryokans along the cape.

オススメ‼️^_^ 海岸線を車で走ってみて下さい！55号線の東洋町から室戸岬までは海を眺めながら走れますよ！室戸岬の先端辺り民宿室戸荘の前の海岸へ歩いて下りてみて下さい。ガラッと雰囲気が変わります。素敵な写真をたくさん撮って下さい。^_^ この辺りで民宿をとれない方は、もう少し高知市内の方へ進んで室津の辺りで探してみてください。結構、空いてますよ！オススメは室津の太田旅館です。安くて、綺麗ですよ。風呂、トイレは共同。駐車場完備です。大きな道路から少し入った所なので、夜も静かで眠りやすいですよ！^_^ ㊙️徳島県の秘境ご紹介❗️ 徳島県三好市東祖谷には下記の穴場があります。 🙂①古民家喫茶きむら 子育てが一段落し、これから自分達の人生を楽しみたいという方や仕事を定年し久しぶりに夫婦で旅行でもしたいと考えてらっしゃる方に是非オススメします。第2の人生をここ古民家喫茶きむらから始めてみませんか？^_^ 🙂②落合集落 集落にはアレックスカー氏監修の古民家宿が8軒あります。見てるだけでも癒されます。近くには蕎麦屋さんもあります。 🙂③かかしの里 人口30人弱の村にかかし250体！楽しい写真が撮れる所です。 🙂④奥祖谷二重かずら橋 かずら橋2本と野猿があります。観光バスが入って来れないスポットですので空いてます。川の水の透明度は抜群です！ 🙂⑤剣山 徳島県最高峰1955メートルの山。車でドライブも良し。バイクツーリングも良し。西島駅からリフトで頂上を目指すも良しです。^_^ 🙂⑥お安い古民家宿 築300年の民宿 祖谷八景です。落合集落展望所のすぐ近くにあります。

Even part of pathway was destroyed by typhoon in 2018, the path shows it's strong adaptiveness to the nature. High recommend to spend at least 1.5 hours here.

It was worth the extra few hours to get here. Not only you feel a sense of achievement, but you also get rewarded by a unique and pretty view.
