I took bus #38 from Naha, specifically from Kamiizumi bus stop, which conveniently has a Lawson nearby if you wanna grab drinks and food while you wait. I think the bus stop I got off was at Sefa Utaki Iriguchi but you can ask the bus driver to be sure. From there, it was a short walk to Cape Chinen but don’t confuse the Sefa Utaki box office for Cape Chinen: you can buy tickets for Sefa Utaki here but the ticket clerks will help point out where you need to go for Cape Chinen.

On the way back, I was confused because I went back to the same bus stop but a post said the bus to Naha was some 300 meters away, with the direction pointed out. When I walked to the other bus stop, I realized it was the same bus #38 but going the opposite direction. So if you want a shorter ride back, go to this bus stop. If you want to continue on in the same direction, just go back to the same bus stop and take the same bus you came on. Also, take a photo of the bus timetable so you can time your return to the bus stop. If you miss a bus, there is a Blue Seal across the street which you can get ice cream, they will also help you in terms of finding out the bus timetable to go back to Naha.
