Update (August 2021): Recently opened up the rice bag we got during our visit two months ago and IT HAD BUGS!!! 😫😫😫 lots of lively black bugs writhing with cocoons on the sides of the bag. This should not happen. It was quite disgusting. Be careful of buying rice here. Former post from June 2021: Good area to get some veggies and plants! Have a bite to eat and take a walk on the former residence of Ambassador Aoki and his family.

建物及び内装が他の道の駅と比べても整然としているし洒落た感がある。地産の食材販売やレストラン等ある。ただそれ程広くないので長居はできなそう。一時的に立ち寄るには丁度良い。

地元民です。リニューアルして、THE観光客向け施設のようになってしまい、以前の様に地元の人が野菜を購入しに行ったり、ちょっとジェラート食べて帰る？なんて感じがなくなってました。 【リニューアル前の方が良かった】 野菜やお惣菜も以前の方が安かったし、良かった。 野菜は少し走った高林の直売所の方で購入する方が金額も安く、地元野菜って感じがするので、野菜を購入したいなら直売所をオススメしますね。 （例→白菜300円が直売所なら180円）

観光客がお土産を買ったりするには良いのかもしれません。 ３歳位から小学生低学年の動きたい盛り&遊びたい盛りのお子さま連れには不向きでトイレ休憩とソフトクリームを食べる位で他、子供向けの遊び場や遊具等などは一切ありません。若者カップルや中高年のご夫婦なら散歩をしたり、休憩がてらソフトクリームを食べたりが楽しめるのではないかなと思います。季節によって、ひまわり畑になったり菜の花畑になったりと花畑が綺麗です。 子連れで時間を潰すなら、芝生の所で出来るバトミントンなど持参しないと、30分が限界です。 ヨチヨチ歩きの歩き始めのお子さま連れなら芝生なので転んでも痛くなく良いかもしれません。
