I really liked this market because it was not overflowing with foreigners and the prices were not inflated. Almost everyone coming to visit are Japanese people. There are not many signs in English.
It's a really great place to eat breakfast or lunch but it's really incredibly crowded. The walking paths are narrow.
It might be difficult to shop here if you don't speak Japanese so you should go with a guide or Japanese speaker.
There a such a large variety of things you can eat. I recommend buying fresh seafood and grilling it by yourself.
The apple I bought here was really delicious and kind of a rare variety. There are so many things that are hard to find at other markets around Japan.
Many of the items, say in Japanese, "DO not touch"!!!!!! Therefore I don't recommend you extend your hand or even dare touching anything while you're here.
Some of the people were friendly but basically I don't think it's a very "foreigner friendly" market.
I think they're welcome foreigners with good manners though. Just be sure to be on your best...
