A lovely and peaceful park right in the center of Nemuro City! My family and I really enjoyed our visit here. The open space, tall trees, and quiet surroundings made it a perfect place to relax and let the kids play. One of the highlights for us was spotting the Pokémon manhole cover featuring Nemuro’s local design — it was a fun surprise and a great photo spot for both kids and adults who love Pokémon! If you're passing through Nemuro, Meiji Park is a nice place to take a break, enjoy nature, and discover a little piece of local culture.

根室で朝の散歩中に見つけて公園です。何気なく歩いていたらどデカい煉瓦の建物が！しかも３つも！！ 調べてみると「サイロ」と言って、穀物や飼料を貯蔵する建物だそうです。ここは元々、北海道で2番目に開場した牧場だったそう。そしてこのサイロは、レンガ積みとしては日本国内最大級で、国の「登録有形文化財」に認定されているのだとか。こんな歴史ある建物が公園の中にどどーん！とそのまま残されているのが北海道らしくて良いですね。 早朝にも関わらず、犬の散歩やジョギングしている方が結構いらっしゃいました。公園の入り口には「危険！熊出没注意！」って看板があったので少し怖かったのですが、地元の方は慣れているのかもしれません。
