Takinomiya Park(滝の宮公園)is a historic park that once housed the castle of Kaneko Bingo-no-kami Mototaka during the Tensho era (1573–1593). Established in 1956, it has been a beloved recreational space for citizens, offering interaction with nature and animals. Since 2019, the park has undergone renovation to enhance its appeal and provide new services.
The park features major facilities such as the Takinomiya Great Pond, a Japanese garden, a playground with small animal enclosures, cherry blossom viewing areas, and observation decks. The walking path around the Great Pond (approximately 0.85 km) is especially popular. With about 1,500 cherry trees, the park is bustling with visitors during the cherry blossom season.
