Ikurado Cave — Attraction in Niimi

Its mind blowing outside. The mountain, river, waterfall. Great view!!! The inside cave is very big and needs lot of energy. I was amazed to see the man made pathways inside(stairs etc). The humans behind it, must be appreciated. It is very dangerous for elderly people and tall people. Some paths are narrow and low level. There are lots of stairs and slippery place. I very much liked this cave. We went on a half day trip from Okayama by train. You have to walk about 900m from the station and the cave itself takes about 30-40 min with stairs and inclinations. I dont know if there are turistbusses there but when we went we were completely alone in the cave. Very pretty and set up with stairs and hand rails so you dont have to be a climber. It was nice to visit Ikura cave, a Lime stone cave located just 10mins walk from Ikura JR Station which is around 90 mins travel from okayama station, and one can travel for free if they have a JR Rail Pass, the cave is open from 8.30am to 5pm but last sale of Entry ticket is upto 4.30pm. it's a nice cave with good lighting effects and an attraction to people who likes visiting...
