Yudaki Falls — Attraction in Nikko

Beautiful waterfall on the northern outskirts of Nikko. We were surprised to see well over 10 monkeys hanging around in the trees surrounding the area. For parking, we followed the suggestion of another review and parked above the waterfall by the lake, then walked down to avoid the parking fees. I’m sure this is subject to crowd levels and how much you like stairs. It was nice to see the different views of the waterfall from the stairs and the lake at the top.

I would caution people to drive carefully and watch their tires on these roads as we got a flat tire from some glass...

Probably one of the best waterfalls I've been to be to honest, and that's saying something. The top of the waterfall has very good views of the surrounding mountains, which is especially scenic at sundown and sunrise. There are also many hiking tracks branching off from the waterfall from the top and bottom. Speaking of the bottom, as you make your way down you get to walk along a path that takes you right next to the waterfall, which is very good for unique angles. Awesome waterfalls! The viewing platform takes you right in front. There is car parking next to it but we made the mistake of parking along the road and having to climb up and down a million steep steps, if youre keen on excercise this is your leg day. Theres an awesome and unique boardwalk that takea you on a loop around the park, depending on the route you take, times could vary. We went in winter so half the path was closed but we managed to do a small loop that took about 30minutes and we saw some smaller...
