依京寺へ立ち寄る。西行法師が立ち寄りし地、依京寺の天井に家紋が描かれているのを地元の方に教えていただく。周辺にはいくつもの石像が朽ち果て寸前でお出迎え、合掌 県道からに道すがら思わぬ景勝を見る事になる。今日は水量が足りないかな?普段は多分圧倒される吹割の滝バージョンのミニバンデスかね。

浄土宗本尊の観世音のほか阿弥陀如来、釈迦如来像が有り空海が開基したと伝えられるお寺。溶岩が水食され奇形を見せる渓谷の川の中洲に有り岩上に建っています。お寺は古く訪れる人もいないので静かな時を過ごせるし渓谷とお寺まるで日本庭園の一部かと思う場所でした。
