砂浜は島全体が花崗岩で出来ているらしく、少し海に入ると角張った石で埋め尽くされていました。砂浜を西側に進むと小さな砂浜があり、石切場で使う作業車両などが見え、大きな石が海岸側に積み上がっていました。小さな砂浜を陸にあがると、犬島ハウスプロジェクトの近くに出られる小道があります。
