Fantastic views of the valley (especially in autumn) as well as three spots with a clear view of the Rikuuto Line bridge and tunnel. Note that these spots get really crowded ~15 minutes before a train passes, so get there early if you want to set up for a picture. Sometimes, the train even slows down for the photo op!

The is actually the best spot to see those named stones. The walkway is a part of Narukokyo Promenade.

よく目にする鳴子峡の鉄道写真はこの橋からの風景になります。 紅葉の時期の休日はとても混雑します。 参考までに11/4（日）11時半頃の列車通過時刻5分前の橋上の写真を掲載しておきます。 この時間で国道47号線は15ｋｍ程の渋滞となっておりました。 9時頃の到着を目安にすると快適に移動できると思われます。 トイレは鳴子温泉のローソンが最後になります。その手前のファミリーマートのほうが混雑は少ないようでした。 渋滞時の迂回路が少ないので、とにかく早目の時間帯での移動をおすすめします。

凄く有名な鳴子峡。 2020年10月31日に訪れました。 紅葉はまさに見頃。 お天気にも恵まれて本当に絶景でした。

ただ有名なだけに周辺道路は大混雑。 古川ICからずっと混雑気味だったけど、川渡温泉の手前から動かない状態。 インター降りてからこの場所まで2時間半かかりました。

現地に近づけば近付くほど駐車場の空きもなくなるので少し手前の駐車場に入る事をお勧めします。 私は日本こけし館の鳴子峡側の駐車場に停めたのですが、ガラガラですんなり停めれたし、歩ける程度の距離だし大正解でした。 それよりも近い駐車場...
