I visited this castle about 8 years ago, and it was one of the four castles that Masanori Fukushima, a feudal lord in the Warring States period, built when he moved to Aki in the early 17th century. The castle was destroyed soon after its completion due to the "One Country, One Castle" law, but the remains of the castle indicate that it was quite a solid castle. It is also a wonderful castle ruin with cherry blossoms blooming in spring.

Beautiful park up on the hill above Otake. A lot of cherry blossom trees around the ground and a great view of Hiroshima Bay! Highly recommended!

Beautiful park with some nice walking trails. Sturdy shoes are recommending. Restrooms onsite. Great view of Otake.
