The entire area of central Chiba is spectacularly rural and a welcome ocean of greenery in comparison to the steel and concrete of Tokyo. After ten years or so since my last visit, the pavement gotten better and easy to walk on. The slope and stairs are pretty steep on both ways, no wheelchair accessibility at all.
