Subashiri Multipurpose Square — Attraction in Oyama

This is a small parking lot next to a soccer field with views of Mount Fuji. There is a free restroom and a walking trail around the area. When I visited there were no other cars in the parking lot. I was directed (by the website where I booked my Mount Fuji mountain hut stay through) to park here in order to take the shuttle bus to Subashiri 5th station. I do not recommend doing this. Right down the street is the shuttle bus station and a free overnight parking lot if you purchase a ticket on the shuttle bus. This ‘multipurpose square’ parking lot is designated either for people walking a short route around the lot with views of Mount Fuji, or for people using the sports fields. There was a sign that said parking was prohibited except for park users.
