This is a huge independent rock hill not connected to the path to the top of Ishizuchi mountain. This means you can't enjoy a looking down view when you skip the trial chain. It is 74 meters high, and the longest among total of 4 chain paths. Since this is an independent hill, it has a upside and a downside each. The upside starts easily with a low slope, and ends with a steep slope of almost 8090 degrees. I believe this is the most scary chain path among the chain paths, because that the rocks are wet to make your move slippery, and that it turns in a steep slope just before the top without expectations. It is a long one-way path, and you feel tired at the point of 5060 meters high, and the slope turns in so steep to make you want to give in, but you don't have way back. The only choice you have to be safe is to keep climbing slowly step by step. This would be why this path is called TAMESHI (trial or testfying) chain. If you are brave enough to finish this hill, I believe you can try coming...

The Test Climb Chain is designed to help climbers decide if they can handle the three more difficult chain sections ahead. The ascent is about 74 meters, while the descent is 19 meters, but it’s almost vertical and can feel quite steep with a strong sense of height. For those without strong physical endurance or those afraid of heights, taking the detour is recommended, though many still take on the challenge.

Some hikers, after seeing experienced older climbers attempt the chain, decide to turn back and give it a try themselves. The key to climbing is to move slowly, secure your footholds, and use the three-point support technique for balance. Be cautious, as some parts of the chain can be slippery with wet leaves or ice, especially in autumn.

Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making the effort...

This is not a 'test' chain meaning that you can just 'check out' what the three chains will feel like...it is a 50 mt up and 20 down (on slippery rocks after or during rain) with drops of several meters that could cost your life! Using a rope and helmet should be compulsory and it should only be allowed for experienced climbers (or people with small feet who can climb by putting the feet inside the chains themselves). Also, if reaching the top from the right chain side it's hard to see the arrow pointing down to the other side so I climbed all the way to the jizo. A completely unnecessary danger for those who are just aiming to reach the top of My Ishizuchi...unless a life-threatening climb is what you are after (or you are experienced climbers or have small and slim feet that fit into the chain to climb it as a ladder..) take the...

The 1st chain you'll see on the way to the mountain top. It was steep but compared to the other two, it was easier. I found getting down more difficult than going up. The view up top gives a glimpse of what you could expect on this trail. On my way back, I took the shorter walkable way as I was exhausted by all the walking.
