We went on a rainy day and had a blast! Make sure to park on the 3rd entrance if you're coming from Sasebo. The first entrance is on the North side of the bridge on the right. The second entrance is on the left side after you cross the bridge. And the third entrance is around the corner. We didn't use the third entrance and it was a long hike out, uphill carrying both kids after we were done playing. we had to hike back to the second park entrance. This was right before the kids nap, so I recommend you plan your parking appropriately.
The big green slide is 300 yen to use. I'm not sure if it's per use or unlimited use, but we paid 300 yen and used it four or five times each. this was the only thing I found that we needed to pay for. There a few snacks and vending machines around, but we did not use those for this trip. Took us about 35 minutes from Sasebo on the non-toll road. Tolls back are 260 yen at this time.
Scenery is beautiful and we look forward to going back again to enjoy...

It used to be white plastic spikes that would tear you to pieces if you messed up going down but that was replaced years ago with green plastic that goes the direction of the hill. My brother went down and had his back a bloody mess before he figured out how to stop wiping out. Then he almost flew off the edge so probably good the white spikes were replaced.
My friend/church group had a picnic here in the spring every year where we all got together for a cookout. The kids would explore the park while the adults socialized and it was always a really fun time. This park is one of my favorite places in the whole world. Definitely, definitely...
Read moreBeautiful views. There are two bridges that can be seen from the pedestrian bridge. You can take many photos and admire the views. Looking around is interesting enough even if it would only last some minutes (or more depending on you). There’s a curfew for passing the bridge. There’s a shop and a ceremony hall on the way if you come from the Saikai products center side of the road. Didn’t have time to explore much other than the view of the bridges but there are many lookout points and the park seems bigger than upon...
