The closest beach to the Naval base CFAS and heavily occupied by Americans. If you want a peaceful beach this is not the place unless you go during the week. Beautiful in its breathtaking view of the ocean and its splendor though has been rated 4 star due to the fact that there is an abundance of jellyfish towards the East side of the beach closer to the camp grounds. So be cautious when treading these waters. Pictures of jellyfish washed up onto the shore are below, many were found still floating within the shore of the waters as well so if you have children please watch where they’re going. There are wide concrete steps where you can set up a small picnic area and metal frames to hang hammocks or a tarp to keep in the shade. Not too large of a beach but decent as it’s nearby and clean. The parking area is very large but also next to a campground that will not allow you to utilize their parking lot so just follow the signs which have English translations. It’s a windy road to get there and away from food so pack some snacks and enjoy!

This is a nice beach, decent size with beautiful clear water. It costs 410 yen for an adult to visit the beach. There is a little booth upfront as you walk to the beach that you will pay at (very new concept for me). You can also rent mat space under a shaded area and beach floats. Today I went during low tide, which exposed a nice little tide pool area. My dog loved it, stomping around trying to catch little fish and shrimp in the pools. We saw lots of goby, some puffers and even a relatively large octopus. There are also places to get food, shaved iced and drinks where you first walk in at and a nice looking campground overlooking the beach.

This is an adorable little beach to visit in the winter if you’re looking for fun things to find. Sea glass, shells, beautiful smooth rocks. It’s a fun area for kiddos to climb on the rocks and play in the sand. A beautiful drive to get there and beautiful views from the beach as well. I haven’t been in the summer but there is a beach house, covered areas, and toilets (which were still open in December!!) it’s a smaller beach compared to some but still worth a visit!
