道の駅 かつら — Attraction in Shirosato

This place is great. It has a couple shops that you can buy food and veggies and even some plants. The other shop sells some food and ice cream. The hours of operation are limited. It has vending machines that sell beverages, ice cream and some bento type boxesfor when the shops are closed. It has a large bathroom that is kept clean and stocked. This place is connected to a free camping spot. The river was slow moving and shallow making it safe for kids to play. The water rocks were a bit mucky die to it's slow moving nature. We camped next to the river for free over Golden Week. It was beautiful. Some drunk kids were having a party downriver, so I didn't sleep much, but that wasn't the fault of the facility.
